Cedar Hill is located on West Bald Head Wynd in the Fort Holmes area of Bald Head Island.  The property sits on what was once a Civil War bunker for confederate soldiers protecting the Cape Fear River passage from Yankees.  Cedar Hill is named such because of the numerous beautiful cedar trees on the property.  Cedar Hill was built in 1995 by the first owner.  Originally named Home Port, the name was changed to Cedar Hill by the second owners, Greg and Kimrey Rhinehardt in 2006.

A majority of the art work in the home was purchased from local artists in the Smith Island Art League.
